1. Information Counters stores
The app stores information that you create locally on your device, including:
- Counter names, colors, shapes and increment settings.
- Counter entries, totals, dates and times.
- Counter ordering and display preferences.
- Focus Mode timer state and related preferences.
This information remains in the app’s local data store. We do not operate a server that receives or stores this content.
2. Trial and purchase status
Counters stores a trial start date and a locally cached Lifetime Access status in Apple’s Keychain on your device. Keychain information may remain on the device after the app is deleted. This information is used only to determine trial or purchase access.
Lifetime Access purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple maintains the purchase transaction associated with your Apple Account so that a non-consumable purchase can be recognized or restored. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple’s handling of transaction information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies.
3. Information we do not collect
Counters does not include third-party advertising, analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking. The app does not collect or transmit:
- Your counter content or activity history.
- Your precise location, contacts, photos or health records.
- Advertising identifiers or browsing activity.
- Payment-card or banking information.
4. Support communications
If you voluntarily contact us by email, we receive the information you include, such as your email address, message and any attachments. We use it only to respond to your request, investigate an issue or improve support. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information in support messages.
5. Data sharing
Because Counters does not transmit your counter data to us, we do not sell, rent or share that data. Purchase processing is provided by Apple as described above. We may disclose support communications only when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and safety.
6. Data retention and deletion
You can delete counters individually or use Settings → Erase All Data to delete all counters and history stored by the app. Deleting the app also removes its local database, but Keychain trial and cached entitlement information may remain on that device. Apple retains App Store purchase records according to Apple’s policies.
Support emails are retained only as reasonably necessary to address the request, maintain support records and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete a support conversation by contacting us.
7. Security
We minimize privacy risk by keeping counter data on your device and not operating an account or cloud database for the app. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so you should protect your device with a passcode and keep iOS updated.
8. Children’s privacy
Counters is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information through a support email, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
9. International users
The app’s counter data remains on the user’s device. If you contact us by email from another country, your communication may be processed in the United States or wherever the relevant email service providers operate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s features or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date above. Material changes will apply prospectively.
